college athletics should always remain an avenue to an education, not a minor league for professional sports.

kids should be allowed to go straight into the pros. if they choose to get an education, they should have to stay 4 years. the only exception I would make is for running backs, simply because they take such a pounding. their careers are going to be shorter than anyone else.

I am biased. I hate professional sports.

and please don't accuse me of being racist, wanting an all white league. I sincerely believe that our black athletes are better served getting a real education. there just aren't that many slots out there for professional athletes. all athletes are far more valuable than just being entertainers.
