I've been playing for over a decade. I accumulated plenty of instruments that I just recently sold with the idea that I'd get just one very versatile bass. I do enjoy the American P bass, and I was very close to pulling the trigger on an American Jazz deluxe, but there is some something about the tone of this Grestch.

I personally have the Fender American J.
Have never played any Grestch bass guitars though.

I'm not gonna argue with you if you're in love with the tone. It's your money you should get what you want.
