Pretty much this. It's pandering, like Carson put it.
There are times and places for it certainly. A well done sex-scene can add intimacy and motivations to characters. But MOST of the time it's just there, for no reason. It's a waste of screen time.

If actresses get naked, then I'm in. Otherwise, I couldn't care less.
