This Steele praise is fricking pathetic. He was terrible

it appears that there are actual experts that disagree with you. imo, he wasn't pathetic and he handled himself very well with this situation; much better than that last son of a bitch we had. and, Steeles defenses WERE BETTER THAN CHAVIS' last 3 years D's. sure, the stats, esp scoring D would disagree but Steele's D's had an adjustment to make and it affected that stat. But, he held leads and the D improved substantially as the year went on. Chavis feasted on his stats against the weak teams.

I understand the adjustment to a new system, valid point. The D was terrible vs Bama, Arkansas, and Ole Miss. Not sure what you're talking about as far as progress late in the year.

no they weren't. I get that there's a need to bash all things Chavis, but stop making shite up.

I love when people say this. At the end of the year, LSU got blown out in three of its final four games. In each game, LSU gave up more points than in the previous game. LSU's defense did not get better as the year went along. Thankfully, Sumlin had already destroyed his team from within by the time they came to Death Valley. Even then, only Miles could manage to trail that pitiful team 7-6 at half.
