The law change is not retroactive, you can still amend your 12 tax return to claim it through the end of the year. I amended my 2011 return in dec last year and got this ball rolling thanks to this timely thread and a newspaper article I read at Christmas.

I think i'd tell them hell no. You either qualify or you don't.
I'm awaiting a check. Last phone call to LDR the guy who has my file stated my amended return was in review and then needed a copy of the registration that included the VIN to prove that the 8th number was a 0....which identifies it as a qualifying vehicle for 2011. Still have fingers crossed.
