Going on a cleaning spree out of the blue.
Not buying presents for people in advance and asking her to help at the last minute.
Getting mad at her for not doing more shite around the house.
Tell her that I love her, try to work through whatever it is, and ultimately just let whatever it is go if we can't "resolve" it. When we get mad at each other it is inevitably about something that is small in terms of significance to our marriage. Someone once put it like this: holding a grudge is like wanting to get revenge on someone but drinking the poison yourself.

When you have a falling out, - words are spoken, and there is an uncomfortable silence and lack of peace afterwards, what do you do to restore harmony in the house?

And this answer would be a very different story if I wasn't married already. When you're dating is the time to draw hard lines and have fights about stuff that really matters to you. And if you can't come to an agreement with your girlfriend, sometimes the answer is to walk away from the relationship.
At this point my wife and I know what is really important to each other (I think), and we've made agreements on how we're going to handle those things. Everything we fight about is negotiable.
