In other words, even if you can call up the credit bureau and try to remove the debt (which I suspect to not be true), they still do it to make your life miserable.

Two: just because they haven't yet sought entry of judgment ($$$) in a court of law doesn't mean that they cannot do so. Clearly they can.

I imagine that's reserved for the most egregious violators.
