Nah. Even after all that wailing, the other dude was barely bloodied. Ralphie would have exhausted himself before he could do any real damage.

He really wasn't doing that much damage. Scut was more scared than anything. It just goes to show that bullies are pussies.

He would have needed to find a weapon then because his fists weren't cutting it. Plus, Scott had snow under him so it's not like he could slam his head down and it provided a cushion from Ralfie's fists.

Just to put this here. Never noticed that when the leg lamp arrives, the front of the package says "His End Up", with the T conveniently cut off.
