Best route in to NRG Stadium - Red Lot?

We are parking at the Red Lot at NRG Stadium for the Bowl Game. We are coming in from the west on I-10.
Google Maps & NRG Park directions show us taking I-10 to I-610, exiting at Main Street or Fannin Street and approaching the stadium from the south.
But the Parking map seems to imply we should be approaching the stadium area from the north (i.e. south bound on Main Street, turning left onto McNee Road).
What do the Houston folks recommend.
Thanks in advance,
-MT

Both are right, it will be a lot easier to take 610 vs any other route. Just take a right on either one

Take the Main Street exit from 610 and go down to McNee street and take a right (there is a Pappa's bbq at the intersection). It will take you down to an intersection with Kirby across which you can enter the red lot. When on Main, stay towards the left lanes until you pass the yellow lot entrances as traffic can back up. Once on McNee, stay in the right lane as there are entrances to other lots on the left. You will need your parking pass out for the cops to let you cross Kirby into the lot entrance. This is the best route for Texans games and has never let me down.
