Crime? I'll listen while you try to explain this "crime" that was committed.
Player threatened to cause severe bodily harm. That's assault per criminal code and because he was carrying a bat, its per se using a dangerous weapon while committing and unlawful act.
Next.

Has it even been proven this actually happened? Even so, I wonder how many times this happens in every game.

It first needs to be proven that any credible threat was made. The bat doesn't mean a thing until that happens. Even then, it would be difficult to prove anything considering past history.

Are you an attorney? If so, you should know this is not winnable with the available information.

Wrong again
First Beckman would need to file charges for an assault stating a threat was made at that time. Police would talk to witnesses and go over the video, which sides with their story and then file charges for an assault. Since they filing charges for an assault the fact that he was carrying a weapon automatically add in a charge for using a weapon to commit an unlawful act.
quote:you obviously have no experience with assault cases if you think witnesses and video evidence arent enough for conviction. Which furthers the idea that you're full of shite
Even then, it would be difficult to prove anything considering past history.

You realize that if Beckham were to file these "assault" charges that he would become the biggest puss in the NFL?

For most assault charges filed that involve one individual threatening another, the only witnesses are the two individuals involved. States overwhelming side with the accuser in these cases.
And you have Video evidence showing the player approaching Beckham and Beckham showing he was bothered by what was said. Open and shut in favor of the accuser.

A lot of charges aren't filed because the accuser is in fear of being ostracized. How does that mean a crime wasn't committed.
I bet most people in here complaining about this being a crime, when faced with the same situation, would shoot first/ask questions later and claim s"stand your ground". Lol the fact that threatening someone is a crime works in their favor

Moot point. There won't be a trial.
I wonder what these "witnesses" would have to say. I also wonder about your competence. Be specific. Do you really believe there is enough to file charges amd get a conviction? Be specific, chief.

quote:only BC Beckham isn't going to file charges. Doesn't mean a crime wasn't committed and still makes you look like your full of shite for only responding to that.

And still haven't responded to how Jersey code is irrelevant.
