I don't know when it goes live but it brings forge, new reqs, new maps, social playlist and more.

And they made a TON of changes to forge, I hear it takes a while to get used to but you can do some amazing stuff.
There is also a secret playlist they are adding but haven't announced, I hope its either team duds or multiteam

In super excited about this update. Moving BTB to be social is a smart move. It should also be interesting to see how the new controller settings stuff helps my aiming

I'm slightly confused about this update. I guess in the preseason i had worked my way up to Diamond 6 in swat but now after my 10 games I'm back to Platinum 1?
I went 8-2 with a 1.4 KDA.
Is this just temporary or what? I'd like to get to Onyx if at all possible.

I see rankings are once again fricked up. People tanking their first 10 games and still getting put into Platinum/Diamond.
Trying to get into Noctus but without veto I'm at the mercy of a playlist that is never what I want.
Forge's controls...lol
I think we're living in the glory days of 5. The community has been evaporating since launch and 343 will continue to shite on those loyal enough to stick around. Just as they have with a once again unplayable MCC with matchmaking bugs that have been going on for a month without the slightest of acknowledgement. Their own boards and the official Facebook being way more negative than positive pretty much says it all.
The fact that they call this update "Cartographer's Gift" is comical, as if they're doing us a good deed by bringing the game from version 0.7 to 0.8.
I'd rather 343 just fold and maybe have an actual professional game studio come in if there's going to be a 6. Otherwise let's just call it a day.

I agree with Forge though, it has me confused. The original Forge did too, so I do not want to pass judgement yet.
I like FFA was reduced from 8 to 6. 8 was too many for these maps. Games played much better.

Couldn't agree more with all this, FFA is perfect now. I'm a 54 and all I play is arena, this game is crisp. Pistol is deadly and BR feels like that of old. I've just had to adapt to boost and some of the automatic weapons being so OP.
One thing I'd like to see implemented is voting in matching, but really if that's the worst thing i can say.

Yeah I've loved the game. Agreed about the voting on maps. I'm getting sick of playing slayer every time when I'm in team arena

Played a little today and the game is amazing don't know why I stayed playing fallout so long. Didn't fool around with forge but as with anything I bet it's confusing at first. All the work getting decent again and I lose it with 4 weeks of fallout
