Super Bowls matter. New York Super Bowls count! Not saying the New York angle is right, but it exists. And the Manning legacy storyline is just too storybook for the NFL to pass up. You can punch holes in those reasons, but not his numbers and his rings. He will have both when he retires. And if he can scrape up another deep playoff run before he retires? It is only gravy.
