Why would any coach agree to this.

If someone wants NO competition, they should probably not be playing football in a power 5 conference.

Am I the only one who sees that type of request by a high schooler as a giant red flag?

His family made the same demand to the Florida staff and threatened to pull the commitment when the staff talked to the kid from Georgia. Florida coaches backed down.

I am always leery of these "commitments" made so early such as Franks.

In addition, QBs have just gotten to be all about instant gratification for themselves all over college football. So many times the QBs simply dont want to compete and if they do compete and lose out they haul arse to perceived greener pastures. Look at Gunner Kiel. He went from commiting to LSU to a last minute signing day change of heartheart to ND to now being at Cincinatti for crying out loud. Look at Rettig. What about Kyle Allen at A&M?
Or Baker Mayfield at OU after leaving Texas Tech?

College QBs have gotten to be such prima-donas. They simply do not want to compete for jobs. They want instant success or leave.

A kid like Franks who is demanding that he be the only QB in the class and then bolt from the school which has made commitments to him shows just how selfish he and his family are and makes me question what you would really have if you had him. As soon as something isnt to his liking he will be gone from wherever he ends up.
