I know you think this is some great gotcha, but it just shows the same shite you should always expect from salon.
When mentioning the poorer performing students that were admitted ahead of this girl they mention grades and test scores. However, when trying to claim there were better performing minorities that were also not admitted, salon only mentions grades.
If this girl went to high school in sugar land and these other applicants went to shitty high schools, grades are borderline irrelevant.
Was this girl a good candidate for this particular fight? Maybe not. There are probably many better. Would she have been admitted if she was black? More likely than being white. And that's a problem.
