I dislike cash payments, I prefer checks, but my tenants have good credit. How is your credit?
Talk to your new landlord and ask how long to establish payment history and begin paying in checks. If your credit is good he should be flexible.
Unless like others have mentioned, he's not reporting income to IRS.
