And if after a few series, nothing happens with JL, why not put Mett in and tell him just try to sling it around and see if you can get something going? What could it hurt? Maybe we'd lose by 28 instead of 21? But at least people would say that Miles went down fighting.
The way it was handled, it seemed like Miles just quit on the team. Accept you're gonna lose at half time and just throw in the towel. I'll never understand that, unless there was some reason that JL was benched, and we don't know. If that's the case, Miles should let everyone in on the reason, and then explain why Mett wasn't given a shot, if for no other reason, then to get experience.
