I don't know what Google's router does that is any different than any other good router. My Nighthawk was extremely easy to setup. Beamforming and dual channel is already set up. The auto channel is kind of wasted. All you do is look at the wifi analyzer app and it tells you the best channel to be on. I think it's 1,6,11 on 2.4ghz and any channel on the 5ghz. Once you have those setup, you won't change it because your environment won't change too much.
