he's just one of this years "coach de jur" that has been ordained by some as being the next great up and coming coaching genius. this stuff happens every year and it's a differernt guy or two every year.

remember kevin sumlin's year? Charlie strong?

he may be the real deal but I doubt it. I damn sure wouldn't take one year of results and declare him anything.

You clearly haven't done your research on Herman. Fans of his know that he has accomplished more than just one successful year as a head coach. He was an outstanding coordinator before he took over Houston?

Did you notice how much Ohio State's offense regressed when Herman left?
