Two different quarterbacks.

Mett was a pure pro style qb in a pro style offense. He could make the reads and throws. He also had one class and studied a lot of film. Part of being a good qb is knowing what each position is doing. From blocking scheme to pass routes. Mett was able to do this.

Harris is not a pure qb in that sense. You can't expect spread type qb's to develop into pro style quickly. I don't think Harris has mastered the concept of knowing his offensive line blocking schemes. He steps into sacks, or gives up on the pocket early. He seems to have problems with easy timing routes.

I think what we say at the A&M game is the reason for cam and Miles being conservative. Harris couldn't make the throws.

I like the pro style and hope they don't change. My issue is why recruit athletic qb's when you need someone that can get the ball to the play makers. If they went complete spread with Harris, I don't think he would last the whole season.
