When they call themselves Louisiana and you have to correct them "at Lafayette" and they get upset its quite obvious that they have younger sibling envy.

people here in Lafayette also think that anything north of I10 isn't Louisiana lmao you mean university of south arkansas
Posted on 12/1/15 at 12:59 pm to MeauxMoney
that would be solved if they would just go by something like "south louisiana"

Should have heard the circle jerk yesterday on the local sports radio afternoon show. Voice of the Cajuns rambled on about "Elite programs get their man"
Listed UTexas Michigan and USC as these type of programs
Dude had no clue CStrong was 4th choice, Michigan hired Bradie Hoke and the Trojans just hired the 3rd or 4th.
Other than that? One had to think about whether the Cajuns played this past weekend.
Lafayette is a Cajun town tho

Thread #123 about this. Usually does not come up till baseball season following the bama game in the Fall.

I love how all the ULL fans wear gump gear the week LSU plays bama.

This is why I'm glad we don't play Tulane anymore. LSU helps them schools so much by scheduling them and they show no appreciation.
They are just hurting themselves.

Let me ask this, Do Arkansas State students alumni and fans hate The University of Arkansas like ULL people hate LSU? hahaha

It's funny because ULL sees us as competition or a rival and nobody at LSU gives a frick about them at all.

you must not talk to a lot of Lafayette people and die hard fans if you don't think that they view LSU as a rival lol

You're acting like the entire city is die hard ULL fans. That's not the case.

everywhere you go in Lafayette the whole place is decked out in ULL and might have a little LSU poster somewhere. I have not been many places that are 100% LSU in Lafayette.

Of course there's a lot of ULL support in Lafayette. Don't confuse supporting the home town school with die hard hating of LSU.
Lafayette has over 100K people. There are over 500K in the Acadiana area. If there were so many die hard fans, they would draw more than 20-25K for football games.
