Nowhere did I say I don't blame him. It's really the NBA rules and system that I find highly flawed. I'd go for the money in a heartbeat.

My bigger problem is it would take more than a year to really get a full understanding of the LSU system and start gelling with teammates. It's rather frustrating to get so excited over a guy when you know his best games would come in 2016/17 season and beyond, but as a fan, you are forced to watch a young inexperienced guy give you hopes and dreams of an exciting future, only to be ripped out next year.

That is the point some here are making. It doesn't take that long for the good coaches to gel these kids. There are multiple examples of this, and UK is that example year in and year out. Carmelo Anthony won a title, as freshman. Kevin Durant and the Longhorns were 25-10 and upset in 2nd round. There are more.

What you are saying isn't incorrect, he and LSU would be better next year. But when you take on this talent, you better know how to maximize it for 1 year.

No tourney appearance would be epic failure.
