Here is what I am seeing the problem to stem from-
The OC (Cam in this case) starts to try and call plays that Miles will approve more and more as the season goes on and does not focus as much on trying to actually attack the opponent. I think this happens because Miles is known to override plays all the time, so it seems to get worse as the season goes on since the OC not only has to think about the game, but tries to think what Miles is thinking.
Now, we know that ole Les can be a bit scatter brained during games, so this seems to be a recipe for disaster. It is hard enough trying to get in the opposing coaches heads, but there has to be something like this going on since the O just gets more and more predictable over the season (in addition to tons of tape with tendencies clear as day).
Miles needs to either take over the O fully (not what I want to see) or let his O-Coordinator coach and not try to impress Miles.

quote:I think this is an over overblown myth. You can clearly see the difference in scheme and playcalling between Jimbo, Crowton, and Cam. Does he override some play?I'm sure. Every head coach probably does. Our main problem is Miles has to realize there will be games where our physicality alone can't win us the game and he has to have 10-16 pass plays that the offense can run in their sleep to stop defenses from staring into the backfield.the entire off season should be dedicated to getting Harris and Jennings comfortable with short and intermediate passes. Rep them until they can do them blind folded. A junior should be able to hit a 5 yard slant in his sleep. I don't want to hear shite about how good our run game looks all year. We all know Guice, Williams, and LF are beasts. He also has to make players accountable for their damn penalties.
