What you reported may have been correct, when you reported it.
The situation changed after the media bashed LSU and would have continually bashed LSU if the new coach failed to perform as well as Miles.
It was a no win situation due to the way the AD handled the process. He comes off as looking like an incompetent buffoon. I know a little about hiring and firing people as I've made literally thousands of those decisions. This was handled wrong from the beginning. Those who were pushing for this are so far removed from the average fan they simply didn't understand that they were acting in a very heavy handed way to an honorable man.
The LSU fan base would have accepted a change if it had been done right. Floating names of replacements, only to be denied appeared to be amateurish at best.
I'll be waiting for your report on when Alleva gets shown the door. In corporate America, this P.R. disaster would cause heads to roll. Alleva has damaged the LSU brand and IMO, should be fired.

bullshite. He was saying yesterday before the game that Miles was gone 100% and that nothing coaching-wise would be decided on Saturday.
He either got played or he was trolling.
ETA:
And the Chip Kelly stuff is absolute bullshite.

FlatLakeTiger, you are dead on. The wealth boosters are used to getting their way and that didn't happen this time. They also like to run their mouths too much as that is the by-product of money and power. Been there, done that.
And you are also dead on about a PR disater of this magnitude would resulting in someone losing their job. Alleva's seat has got to be very hot.

Meaning not Alleva? He should know how to gauge the fanbase and use that intel to inform his decisions, talk others back from the ledge.
