I've been scoping the FSU boards the last few days and seems to me they are in denial and wont even acknowledge all the rape stuff and Tallahassee/University culture of running a not so clean program back when Bowden was there.

With all the negative publicity and the planned CNN rape deal and a university official basically slamming the athletics program, dont you feel Jimbo has had enough? He won a title with extreme adversity and it seems to me the FSU fans just think he will blindly stay regardless of the current mess that is only going to get bigger at FSU.

He may have had enough, but it reflects poorly on LSU making this hire with that history.

I can agree with that but the university's current issues stem back 10 years ago under Bowden, I think its a part of a long running dirty university/Tallahassee that Jimbo really doesnt have much to do with IMO

He did nothing to improve the situation, and basically continued it.

If Jimbo was thinking of staying at FSU, I would think this story and its timing have to push him away.

I mean he dealt with this for an entire season two years ago, why would he continue to deal with it? FSU seems utterly spineless in this whole matter

research a bit on the Luverneus coles/peter warrick incident at Dillards. or about the sebastian janikowski episode the night before the bcscg. this stuff was going on long before jimbo.

Am I the only one who sees the irony in an AD, who suspended athletes falsely accused of rape, hiring a football coach who let a player play while being accused of rape and coming from a program with all these allegations of rape? Anyone? Bueller? Anyone?

I must admit I don't know much about this situation other than the obvious Jameis mess. What are you basing this comment on?

Living in central Florida, it is very well known that FSU is a very corrupt program.

I could see Jimbo wanting out before it drags him into something very serious which would ruin his career.

Read the recent article on the situation. It is true that FSU had problems which preceded Jimbo, but he's done nothing to improve the behavior of the players. If LSU hires Jimbo, it will raise some eyebrows from a national perspective because of this issue.

Pete Carrol jumped ship to the NFL during media frenzy. Paterno went down with his program. This seems to be somewhere in between the severity of those 2 incidents. Therefore somewhere in between staying with a school and leaving the NCAA for NFL.... Is leaving a school for another school. That being said, Jimbo to LSU is prophecy.

Actually, living in Central FL myself, it was the Gators who had the horrible rep, particularly during Meyer yrs. FSU was more misdemeanor than felony. lol.
Until Winston, that is.

If there's one thing Alleva knows, it's how to handle a rape case.

Oh wait....

Never mind.

I disagree. FSU has a long history whereas UF has generally been clean in recent history.

FSU just had a big academic fraud case and the ongoing rape issues.
