And where are we now
Your pos was about LSU not getting national recognition or being mentioned with the big boys. I simply stated that only 4 weeks ago, Fournette was the main heisman candidate and we were number two in the polls, making your entire premiss, foolish.

I became a fan of LSU in 2003, and have loved every minute of my experience, and don't want to see the program slip because of some old people who are afraid of change
Again, I'm not really a fan of Miles coaching style, but you assume that a change will guarantee something better. All I'm saying is that chances are more in the favor that they will not get better than they are in favor of the opposite.

I remember it well, as I attended LSU FROM 83-90. Remember Arnsparger left, we didn't fire him, and Archer had a couple good years before the fall. Honestly, the last few years remind me more of the end of the McLennan era. Alabama has a better coach and has our number. We have a coach that doesn't adjust to the way the game is played today. It's very similar. I have loved Les as a coach and a rep of my alma mater, but the program has shown decline over several years now and I see no fire in the team lately. A change is needed now. Of course we can find a good coach who can recruit here and win. I would rather gamble on a good choice than settle for more of the same.
I respect all of this.

I remember all of it.
Do you're saying keep Les and he will win another 110?

Les is not some incredible coach. He is a good coach, but he has had the talent. LSU never had this kind of talent.. they put more players into the NFL..
Who do you think is responsible for bringing that talent here?

I don't have a crystal ball. All I know is that he won in the past, had a mild slump, and then won again. Maybe this is another temporary slump?

Turning 51 tomorrow and remember clearly every regime back to Cholly Mac. The current regime is broken and Les has failed and will continue to fail to fix it if he continues. How many more years does he need in order for you people to see it?

I am Les hater and sat through the bad times.

What an original thought
If only original thoughts could be posted on here, it would be a very lonely and quite board.

Wow you mean we could be risking the music city bowl with a coaching change?

I'm pretty sure that you can look across the college football landscape and see where bad hires have cost schools years and years of losing seasons. Miami is one such example.

54 and it will be great if we get the right coach. But changing simply for change sake isn't the answer.

Big deal. They left to make $$$. Nothing more. They ALL have used LSU as a stepping stone instead of getting an education AND playing the sport that would have paid for their education for 4 years.
What the hell are you talking about. Think that statement went way over your head. The fact is all these guys in the NFL and he did what with the past few years?

This tells me how much you really know about current college football. You really have no damn clue. That job isn't even considered a top 25 job because of there horrible facilities, non existent fan base, a stadium that is 45 miles off of campus and an athletic department that doesn't want to pony up the money for a big hire. Please do more research and come back later.

And who do you think is responsible for not using that talent to its fullest and not winning more SEC games, SEC championships with them?

I'm 32, became a fan during the Hallman years, cried a lot, fire Les Miles.

You must have had a lot of mixed emotions when Les was winning conference and national championships. Given that you HATE Miles....it's ironic that you surely have been miserable through the best decade of LSU football in history. Congrats on being a part of the Les hater club....it took 11 years, but you can now find joy with LSU football again.

Even in the dark years i enjoyed at least watching LSU play. The product put on the field lately by this coaching staff is almost unbearable to watch.
