Turkey is a good vehicle for cranberry relish or sauce or under some gravy or cornbread dressing.
I wish my husband liked homemade cranberry relish, but he wants the sauce the way his mama made it, with can marks still on it.
Mac 'n cheese, ham, cornbread dressing. Those are my must haves. Fresh green beans if I can find some pretty ones, are also on my preferred list.

He and I would get along just fine.
I'm ready for Friday so I can make my cornbread dressing waffle, turkey, cole slaw, sliced cranberry sauce and gravy sandwich.

This and 24 consecutive hours of Christmas Story are 2 of my favorite holiday traditions. But mom's cornbread dressing to go with the sauce is completely homemade from scratch.
