He and Hickey made that press very effective. LSU eventually forced a few TOs, but also gave up some easy baskets that allowed KSU to hang around early. Moving forward I think you'll see LSU play a defensive style somewhere between the all out press (ala Ark or WVU) and the extended pressure defense played by Louisville and Florida (when Donovan was there)


Originally they were running more of a three quarter court zone and weren't getting back quick enough when they broke through the first line. I hope they have the horses to run a true full court man to man for a lot of the game. That can be fun to watch and with TQ and sampson's length could be lethal.
