I'd like to purchase any cabling, hardware etc independently of installer
Good luck finding a quality person if that is how you want to approach it.

I will be dedicating a coat closet in the living room for housing components. I just cut the cord and figuring it out. I will be streaming tv to (3) interior tv's and (1) outdoor
I'd run 2 cat6 and a coax to each place you want a TV.

that DVR's and provides a quality picture day and night. All cameras outdoor. 1700 sq ft "squarish" shaped home
I'd run at least a Cat6 to each place you need a camera. I'd run a siamese too but only because I would always be playing around with my set up.

I'd like to be able to view the cameras live on my TV at a moments notice. How can I do this
Run an addition Cat6 to whatever TVs you want to view the cameras on.

My alarm system is old, so i'd like to revamp that as well. Cell unit in use, no land line
Is it all hard wired now ?
I would go with a system that could handle doing a few automation features since you're not doing a control system.

The alarm is hard wired now in the sense that there are 2 old keypads, door and window contacts through home. The unit is in a hall closet and looks like a rats nest.
