To put some context around these numbers:

- Pass Protection - Neither tackle was able to effectively block Tim Williams, and there was a lot of pressure on Harris throughout the game.

- On the three-and-out after Alabama's first field goal, Harris threw two incompletions (after a 1-yard gain by Fournette). The second-down pass was dropped. The third-down pass was a throwaway (out of bounds), after pressure by Tim Williams (beat Alexander) forced Harris out of the pocket.

- There were two pass interference penalties in the game. One on a deep ball to Dupre in the first half. Then another one on a pass to Dupre in the end zone on the last drive of the game.

- One pass attempt was batted down by A'Shawn Robinson.

- Harris did get credit for the illegal pass to Jerald Hawkins.

Not an accurate night for Harris, but he also didn't get good protection. He did complete some nice passes in the game, though. Two really good passes to Dural for big plays, and the PA pass to Dupre in the second quarter was pretty. He also had a nice completion to DeSean Smith.

Obviously, after a loss, a lot of people will look at alternative strategies/game plans for success (coaches generally do something similar). Then, some people see that as a slight against the coaching, and criticize those suggested alternatives and/or those doing the suggesting. Win or lose, I think looking at those alternatives, and other possible avenues for success is interesting.

I think the main issues with the 50-passes idea would have been protection and possible/probable turnovers.
