Watched the first four episodes last night. I found it relatable and pretty funny. Also, glad to see Eric Wareheim in this series.

Episode 3 was some of the best television I've seen. Story of my damn life
The parents episode was also very real and cool. It's basically Louie for the 21-30 demographic

Yeah I'm getting a Louie vibe as well, which I really enjoy. A really nice change of pace from the shite sitcoms that are on regular tv.
Two episodes in so far, and am enjoying it.

I like it. It's nothing special, but I have enjoyed what I've seen so far.

It's good not great television. You can tell he borrowed a lot from Louie, but his friends don't have the same acting chops Louie's friends do.
He can get a tad SJW'd up at times (ironic, because at some point he had to hire obviously attractive people, obvious minorities for different gags and the like) but overall I like it.

Eh you have the one where he debates only getting hired because he needs to act comically Indian, but there's one later where he also go full blown feminist (not that I disagree with a lot of his views honestly). The argument with his girlfriend on that episode is perfect snapshot of real life though.
I tend to get a little more frustrated with politics in television than most people as I have a staunch conservative family and watch television as entertainment to get away from politics ha.

If I ever feel the need to show someone what dating in your 20s in today's world is like, that's what I will show

Also 4 episodes in, enjoying it so far. A lot of subtle humor that I enjoy more then slapstick.

I just watched the feminist one you're talking about and it's not really that bad
If anything I took it as a subtle shot at the crowd of people that do one thing for a progressive cause and then champion themselves as some sort of hero when in fact, they don't even know anything about it.
I'm not a feminist at all, but I'm fully aware of how creepy dudes can be and they nailed that part of the episode.
And yeah that was a really well written scene at the end

quote:i very much disagree. no way would louie be able to tell the story of a first generation immigrant and his parents, racism in the television industry, or dating in the 21st century
. You can tell he borrowed a lot from Louie

Well Louie deffinitly does this.
It's stylized the same way as Louie, just the material and voice is for a different generation

I don't think it's meant as a shot to say he used Louie as inspiration for the show.

I'm through four episodes. I really enjoy it.

and i didnt take it as one
i was just commenting that, based on the handfull of louie episodes that i have watched, i dont really see the similarities past how the episodes are stylized

I enjoyed the first season or so of Louie, but kind of forgot about it. Masters of None got me watching Louie again haha.
