We had Mett, Hill, Landry, and OBJ in 2013 and got smashed in BDS

This offense is not even close to that one even with LF7 and it's not like our D is anything close to 2011. I think reality came calling home in a big way. If we don't get a Bama performance like the one against Ole Miss, we don't stand a chance.
Hopefully 5 in a row is enough to make a guy that can win 80% not changing a thing want to mix it up.

You would think any super competitive person would have mixed it up after a couple in a row.

We gave up 8 less points in this contest but had 6 less minutes in TOP. I'd say D out put was a wash.
O scored one less point this time with a blocked PAT. We gained 60 less yards

LSU's secondary were all young, and couldn't cover anyone to save their lives. That is why LSU lost to Bama and a few other teams that year.

So our young D is why we scored the number of touchdowns and field goals Saturday as we did in 2013?

you said it not me.......but I can't disagree with our guys not being able to cover.

Wasn't it 17-17 at half and got blown out the second half just like Saturday right?

If you or anyone can logically walk me through how our D is responsible for our offensive production in BDS the last 2 trips I'd really appreciate it, cause I'm just not seeing it

Last time I checked, the defense gave up 30+ points and couldn't stay off the field. While they are talented and athletic, they are small up front, with no depth on the line and at linebacker. That has been a problem for a few years and every has seen this coming and acted like it wasn't a huge problem. LSU's d line has gotten progressively smaller year after year after year.

Copeland fumble, Bama fake punt. We came out firing and looked like the better team, but these things really changed the game, mate.

We stop this, we win that game.

The more we trust a qb, the worse we lose.

Hill, Landry and OBJ weren't just good college players, either - all 3 were among the standouts of that rookie NFL class - Hill not starting until week 9 and still finished with over 1,000 yards. Landry has exceeded expectations in Miami and, OBJ is, for better or worse, the current "face" of the entire league (outside of the elite QBs and J.J. Watt, of course).

I thought the problem was Chavis and Steele was the cure all for the defense.

This is the true test of Miles's character if you ask me. What he's doing is good enough to keep his job but not to win championships. Is he willing to risk his job to maximize LSUs performance?
