He certainly wasn't but to act like Saban was handed a team full of scrubs is equally stupid. DiNardo left a ton of talent behind.
They're both highly successful coaches. At this point Saban is better. But at LSU, Les has experienced more success and over a longer period of time. This can't be denied.

3-8, 4-7, the LSU team record the two seasons before saban got here
13-1, 9-3 the team Les inherited. Just a tad bit of difference. If Saban had stayed at LSU, he would have more wins than Les.
