Agreed. But to say Les' success at LSU only has to do with longevity is objectively false. His winning percentage at LSU is better than Saban's was.

he got handed the keys to a mansion. He does done a great job at the upkeep. Saban was handed a flip house with potential and turned it into that mansion. I dont believe Miles could have done that

OK. Do whatever you have to do to keep Saban's limp dick hard, man. The numbers don't lie.

No, Saban was handed a mansion and turned it into a plantation. Miles was handed said plantation with dry rot and asbestos. Fact is that the team Miles inherited was loaded, but Saban just completely gave up on building a roster when he had the Miami job in hand and we had a pitiful recruiting class to show for it... the OL recruiting was particularly horrendous.

To boot, the gem of that 2005 class and #1 player in the country was booted off the team prior to being anything other than Matt Flynn's backup.

A mansion with serious mortgage past due to keep it going.
Miles was handed 1/2 a recruiting class '05. Fact.

Saban did turn over a good situation to Miles, but Miles only had 15 signees in that first class. Miles started Oklahoma State on the way to respectability. Miles may well have turned LSU into a power, and Dinardo did leave some good players for Saban to work with (Josh Reed, Rohan Davey, Bradie James, Trev Faulk, Domanick Davis, Lebrandon Toefield, etc>) Credit both Saban and Miles. I think things turned around when Dinardo got Kevin Faulk to come to LSU.
