I've said this from the beginning. the ball control type offense that we run is perfect. quick strike offenses are built only to out score in a shootout. Our offense is built to grind opposing defenses into a fine particulate that can be trodden over repeatedly and to give no opposition.
we control the ball and don't turn it over and that "quick strike" offense isn't on the field enough to overwhelm you with points.
I've always liked our "Old School" style of play. The spread and speed formations are just a fad, and have a low ceiling, particularly in the SEC (see Ole Miss).
