My mistake I thought he was still having back pain, he probably is but learned to stop whining about it. Anyways the point of my post is what it is. Where TF is AD?
He has the ability (I think) to literally dominate and we have see everything but that. Call it a slump, but he actually looks uninterested in playing. It's very alarming. Forget everything else. AD does not look like he cares.

This is our biggest problem. With all the guys out of the lineup you'd expect your billion dollar superstar to put the team on his back. Instead he looks lost and content with working on his 3-ball. This is what needs to change immediately. We need the AD of last year to have a chance in this first month until our guys get back.

He CANNOT create his own shot. This board was asking for it repeatedly last season "why aren't we getting AD the ball more in the 4th?" and the answer was the same then too. Giving AD the ball, clearing out and asking him to make something happen is not what he's good at. AD may be the best finisher the game has ever seen, but he can't do it on his own yet. He's not KD or LeBron, he's not even Tim Duncan. All of those guys create about half their shots or more (looking at TD's peak scoring year way back in 2001-02), AD creates less than 30% of his own shots, and I'd be willing to bet a lot of those unassisted baskets are offensive rebounds.

I do think Tyreke would make a night and day difference in the offense, but he's not coming back for another month, so it's on Gentry to improvise. I was firmly team JVG, I sold myself on Gentry after he got the job based on stories about him being willing to try new things and listen to other people. If we keep running this same system with the same results until Tyreke gets back we might as well have stuck with Monty.
