Now for all you biologist here , how old is this deer? Yea it's a 1.5 year old so why wouldn't you kill a 1.5 year old spike?

Cause there is plenty and plenty of evidence tgat a 1.5 year old spike can become one helluva a deer

certainly you aren't implying that a 1.5 year old spike cannot grow

certainly you aren't implying that a 1.5 year old spike cannot grow into a nice buck. There are so many variables to consider than just a picture comparing a 1.5 year old 6 pt to a 1.5 year old spike.

How do you know this buck's mother wasn't bred in November and the spike's mother was bred in January?

Maybe your place has superior nutrition?

Way too many variables.

If you want to shoot a spike, do it, but don't justify it on those terms because it's crap. Say you wanted to kill a spike. Thats all.

People use the cull claim to avoid saying that they wanted to shoot a baby buck. Own up to it.
