It's complicated:

My dad skipped two grades (3rd & 7th) so he was way young for his High School sports. But he ended up graduating in the Class of 1942 and went to a JuCo for a year and a half (until he was 17 1/2) and was pretty good at the JuCo level (in comparison) because most everyone else there playing sports was 4-F.

I was always the youngest in my class and after my Second Grade year the school folks asked my parents if they could double-promote me. My dad said "no" as he didn't want to be responsible for another World War (kidding), really to prevent me from going through what he did in High School as being so young.

tl/dr: Me, he's dead. He can't argue the point.

My father. Played hockey and was a linebacker for Michigan. Also excelled at tennis. I sucked at sports.
