Only on the rant can you find people that call the sports science folks stupid.

Didn't say he was stupid, I said that statement was stupid. Like someone above mentioned with Bo, someone that big making such sharp aggressive cuts can be tough on the joints and ligaments. But this guy is saying fournette is just slow enough that this isn't an issue. How much faster could he really be? Another couple hundreths of a second off his 40 time wouldn't be the difference in getting hurt or not

It is stupid.
The formula for momentum is mass x velocity.

LF weighs 230lbs and has been clocked at 20.5mph.
A tiger weighing 500lbs only needs to travel 9.43mph to have equal momentum. So technically, yes he can. But a tiger's top speed is 40mph meaning LF would have to hit a speed of 86.96mph to equal a tiger's maximum momentum.

If the author simple meant the tigers momentum equation can be made equal to LF's max momentum then more power to him but it's horribly misleading. Usain Bolt is 207lbs and has been clocked at 27.78mph giving him approximately 22% more momentum that LF has ever generated.
