Nothing wrong w/anything you said, but I think the "key" is this....exploit whatever they sacrifice in an attempt to stop Fournette.

I think it'll play out like this.

1. No one, Bama included, can stop Fournette and the Fresh Legs over the course of an entire game without sacrificing the ability to proper cover something else. Saban knows this. He won't "man up" in attempting to stop LSU's running game FOR AN ENTIRE game. When everyone's fresh, he'll have some success early stopping Fournette without much shift. He knows though that our fresh RB's are better than his defensive folks that come in to give the 1's a break. Eventually, he'll have to move someone to stop the run, though it could be late in the game.

2. Have Steele tell us what Saban is most likely to sacrifice, or figure that out based on film, or both. I'd assume that since he's coached them personally and all, he likely believes his cornerbacks have the ability to cover two folks at once, even if they line up on opposite sides of the QB. I'd assume that when he does shift to stop it, it's most likely safety's selling completely out, under the theory that his corners don't need help over the top, especially if it means adding line of scrimmage personnel, as doing so likely reduces Harris time in the pocket.

If I'm correct, the key will be for Harris and the receivers to recognize no safety help, adjust to the deep route between the hash marks, Harris has to have nuts to stand tall in the pocket/allow the receiver to get down the field, and then throw him open to the middle.

additionally, should it play out like this, Harris also has to realize defenders are playing with their backs to the ball, and coaches have to realize that Harris benefits from that if he's generally throwing on the roll out.

So, expect big plays via Harris's arm to the middle of the field, and a long run or two by Harris. Should LSU choose to do this early, and Bama has to shift to stop LSU's PASSING attack AT ALL, Bama is in for a long night. Personally, I think Miles plays it close to the vest, and hopes for a "wear down" by the end of the game. I'd love to see us throw early, make Bama abandon any notion of loading up on LF, and then just sit back and enjoy the show.
