One reason LF has so many yards before being contacted is that he eludes defenders who are in the gap (on the outside). Remember when he took that lateral from Harris when Harris was being sacked? He took it 50 yards without being touched. That was due to LF's great play, not the oline.

Also, when he takes an inside run to the outside, it's his speed and vision that makes him untouched. He is running behind the best LSU line I've ever seen, but he's doing a lot on his own. The best case for LF is to just ignore the stats and watch him.
