Big dummy

quote:

Senior Agent Douglas Anderson was notified by a hunting club near Simmesport about 10 a.m. Saturday regarding a big deer shot by a guest that they needed help measuring for record purposes, Einck said.

“From the way it was told to me, they were excited about the fact that this deer was harvested because they had been seeing it for the last couple of years on their game cameras,” Einck said. “They called the agent in because he works that area and they’re all friends with him and he knows that hunting club very well.

“By the time he showed up, they were hanging their heads basically… The guy was like, ‘Look we have to come clean with you. We didn’t know about this when we called, but we found out the guy who took this deer didn’t have a hunting license.’”

Yeah well it isnt like this guy was someone who took a chance without getting their license for one weekend. He couldnt get a license because his privileges were already suspended.

Still not as bad in my book as hunting at night, spotlighting or shooting from a vehicle.

So I'm guessing dude for whatever reason didn't get a license, (being in state probably revoked for whatever reason) and said "F" it and went to camp. Got lucky and killed a huge buck. They couldn't keep it secret and didn't know dude wasn't legal...called Green Jeans in their excitement and then the shite hit the fan. By then the toothpaste was out of the tube. Basically, this is a criminals are stupid episode. I can only imagine there was no drinking...surely not. But hey, I can't hunt in La legally, the Dept of Revenue says I owe them money, which is total horse shite.

Would be interested in knowing the weight of the buck as well. There are some absolute brutes in that area.
