Started setting this up last night. I'm going to call myself out for saying a few pages back that I don't care about the settlement building. All I'm doing is taking care of them

Just make sure you don't take any Addy before doing settlements. 30 min turns into 4 hours reallllllll quick

Its only useful if you want to make better drugs(physcho jet or buff), bleeding out syringe, etc to aid you in combat. I cant recall if the Refreshing Beverage is under the Chem or Cooking station but that's a really good one too. Cooking the meats you've collected is good so there aren't any rads in them. They also give you a way better boosts than the stimpaks. You cook the meats into roasts, steaks and ribs.

Hell, I bet half my leveling was from cooking, and making chems along with settlement building.

Fast as hell XP.

I think I took down the queen on spectacle island in 6 gauss rifle rounds while using psychobuff.

May have to try that out I hadnt really done much. If I have all that stuff saved in my inventory will it transfer over to the cooking station or do I have to have it on me?

You need to transfer it out of inventory. You don't necessarily have to transfer to the cooking station. You can transfer everything in one spot. I usually do it at the work shop. And if you have supply lines, you can just transfer at any of the settlements and use.

I worded my first question wrong. If all the items are in the workstation I dont have to have it in my inventory right?

correct. I bank everything. About once a week, I hit the stations to make food chems whatever. real fast work.

I also have a ton of tato, corn and mutifruit right next to the workshop. I pick all of that after pretty much every trip around the wasteland if it is ready. To make adhesive.

Bones are a pain in the arse which is why I continue to do minutemen quests so I can get the medford memorial reset for the bones there.

Ahhh grasshopper.

You need oil for all good things in life. Defense & Weapons upgrades.

Oil is scarce but through the chem station you can made cutting fluid which breaks down into 3 oil.

Just like you can make adhesive with corn, tato and mutifruit.

That's what comes from skulls, femurs, etc.?

I know oil is valuable, I just honestly never realized you break down bones to get it. I've always just got it from other items, or bought it.

90+ hours in and I had no idea.

it takes other ingredients but bones are the real hard part for most people.

I guess it depends on what you pick up.

I pick up pretty much everything. I guess I leave most glasses and burnt books but that is about it. I was low on wood so I started even picking up clipboards.

I finished my first playthrough at level 68. I'm at 21 on my 2nd playthrough. And I'm still routinely discovering new things.

I'm doing a no VATS playthrough this time. Stingwings and bloodbugs have become my mortal enemies. I HATE them with a passion!
