Joc has a better chance (albeit a 2% to 1% chance) than Puig or Crawford to catch one and hit a solo shot. Mattingly is taking the safe route on defense and hoping for a miracle at the plate. I don't have a problem with that.
ETA: Also, Joc can still draw walks. Something completely foreign to CC and Puig right now.

oh im not even close to being angry over joc. his ability to play defense alone gets him the start tonight in my mind
