re: How much is private school in your area?

I grew up in a semi-rural area. We didn't have private schools. Nearest private school was over a hour away. Everyone went to the local school. I enjoyed it. I went to school with Rich, Poor, Gifted, Drop outs.

I think not having private schools nearby is what made it great. If we did those students from better homes (better as in parents who demanded good behavior and academic achievement) would have likely gone to the private school and public school would have been left if the riff raff.
