Picked up a hunting lease that has a ton of river front. I guess my question is what the hells on there?
Bass fish, set lines for cats? Ice never fished such clean water and sandy bottom in La before. I really don't know where to stsrt

Slow roll this out from creeks that join the river, water moving is a plus.

Its mostly spotted bass up there. I'm from Oakdale and grew up fishing the Calcesieu out of a canoe. Watermelon Candy Baby brush hogs, bandit 100 and 200s in solid black, khaki, and orange craw were always solid. Black especially in the spring. White or black humdinger spinnerbaits with Indiana/Colorado gold blades.
