Also, why is it that for rape accusations people who would normally subscribe to the saying of "better 10 guilty men go free than 1 innocent man be convicted" are suddenly of the mindset of "believe every word the woman says and let men fry?"

C'mon, don't be ridiculous, that isn't what I'm advocating for at all.

However, to address your concerns, you have to be conscious of the fact that rape, like murder and other assaults, has a human victim. We're not dealing with property crimes, and you can probably argue that rape is right behind murder when it comes to crimes that have the most devastating human impact.

I think the false accusations are a problem, don't get me wrong, but I'm not ready to swing to the other side and start blaming true victims as well. I find the hypocrisy in these threads to be ridiculous. Most people agree that it is disheartening to see someone's life ruined because people immediately believe the accusations and treat the accused like he is guilty already, yet they are all to ready to belittle the accuser in these type of situations. That doesn't make any sense, and some people are just as bad as those they despise.
