But shouldn't we have been trying to establish a passing game before now? Getting the WR's game time reps?

No question in my mind, but at times it seems that CLM is allergic to passing. Has had one good QB in 10 years.

I keep hearing this, but damn!!
All of yall are mad cuz we "struggled" with EMU. We struggled because we tried to throw a bunch and we didn't do a good job of catching the ball. Had we just run every damn play we likely would have won by a bunch more, but we worked on the passing.
Had we done that against MSU, based on what has been shown, we almost assuredly would have lost the game. Less so, but still possibly, to Syracuse.
You work on things in practice. You do what you need to do to win games during games, based on what you see in practice. We have done that part, as we are undefeated.
The pasimg game doesn't look great, but I think yall just saw why we haven't been doing so much of it. EMU was low risk, because even in a tightish game there was minimal risk of losing. Good chance to work on it, but did you really think we had this all-world passing game that the coaches just refused to use?
