That doesn't say "state of emergency equals blanket school closures"

It says if the government determines the school needs to be closed, then they gave to abide by that choice.

A state of emergency doesn't do anything by itself.

It's a beaurcratic step that gives them powers and options that they don't ordinarily have.
It doesn't say any of that crap you wrote! Nice stretch of your imagination, though.

Wat?

I only said it said one thing:

quote:

It says if the government determines the school needs to be closed, then they have to abide by that choice.

And this is the part that YOU bolded in the link YOU brought up:

quote:

As a state agency, the University must follow the delay and closing determinations of Richland County Government. (Please note this is not Richland County school districts.)

You really think those aren't the same statement? Really?

You think that says that a state of emergency automatically means that all schools close? Because if so, I am not the one imagining shite.

The last part (which I never said was in the link) comes from us here in LA having a lot of experience with being under a state of emergency. I know, different state, but you having shown anything to indicate that their application is different from ours.

You do realize I am going to bump this thread when the school is open later this week and a state of emergency is still in effect right?
