Anyone know why they don't show any?

If I remember correctly, I think they said it was a cost thing. The cost to get the print would force them to focus primarily on that film and push the educational films off.

They said why a few years ago somewhere when a popular movie came out. Just can't remember or find it now.

Edit: It appears that IMAX brand restricted the amount of mainstream movies that could be shown.

Purists will surely lament the loss of the 70 mm projection system, a dying format that many consider to be the gold standard of movie display, but some might consider it an acceptable tradeoff if it means ditching the IMAX brand, which restricts the kinds of movies that can be shown in its facilities.

The is false because plenty of IMAX sites show major movies all of the time.

Not to say IMAX has NO restrictions but I know for a fact many of the big blockbuster movies are available at other IMAX facilities.
