Objectively, the refs had some trouble dealing with Syracuse's emotional scrappy underdog mentality.

It's been awhile since LSU was a significant home underdog, I don't remember if we got the same breaks. But they definitely did get some slack; I can think of 3 unsportsmanlike conduct calls that were not made.

1) the fake FG. Clearly, just an exuberant fist pump- but it made contact with our player, with a closed fist no less.
2) Harris out of bounds. He'd run out at about the same area they called us on the late hit, was stood up and stopped. Clearly out of bounds, really almost off the white boundary and into the sideline area. And then he goes down pretty forcefully right onto his back, maybe 2 seconds after the whistle.
3) We forced one of their WRs out of bounds, the guy was pretty frustrated. His leg swung out towards the db as he turned, in what definitely looked like a kick (he had been facing the other way, and when he turned he did a Jackie Chan roundhouse kick). No contact made. He then threw the ball back to the ref, about 5 yds away, pretty damn hard; not an underhand toss or anything like that. So using how hard he threw the ball as further evidence, I'd say the kick was intentional.
